Saltire Motorsport Does it Again!
At Wigan on the 24th March, Saltire Motorsport driver Martyn Morris wins the British Open Championship, in Formula Blue. It was a dominating win, Pole Position and wins the final by a margin.
Martyn was using the new 2013 GIllard TG14, with a Saltire Motorsport prepared engine.

Saltire Motorsport recently attended the "Go Motorsport in Scotland" night, held in Edinburgh.
Ex-Saltire driver Suzie Wolff tests for Williams F1
Williams F1 Team Development Driver Susie Wolff put the Williams FW33 through its paces at a special Williams F1 Partner event at the Silverstone circuit October 17th 2012.
Susie completed two 50km runs around Silverstone’s International Circuit, the first on the full wet tyre in damp conditions and the second on the dry tyre. Up to now Susie’s role as Development Driver has seen her work in the team’s simulator, but today was her first chance to get behind the of a Williams F1 car at a track.
Susie joined Williams F1 in April 2012, becoming one of only a handful of women who have managed to breakthrough into Formula One. Alongside her role at Williams F1 Susie also races in DTM where she is now in her seventh season of competition.
Speaking about today’s run, Susie said; ‘’It was incredible to experience a Formula One car for the first time. I’ve done a lot of simulator work since I joined the team but nothing compares to the exhilaration of driving the real thing. The conditions were a little tricky as it was quite damp at the beginning of the run but the track soon dried out. The team also did a fantastic job preparing me for today, giving me all the information I needed so that I was always in control.’’
Kyle Fowlie Vice British Champion 2012
Saltire Motorsport driver Kyle Fowlie secured the Vice Champions position in this years’ Junior Rotax British Championship. With an incredible field of 57 drivers Kyle won 4 finals, set 4 fastest laps and finished on the podium a total of 6 times; a fantastic achievement.
Kyle also became 2012 Scottish Champion and won the prestigious, ASKC A-Plate.
Kyle was driving Gillard’s latest kart, the TG14, which is available from stock at Saltire.
Saltire win and secure second at NKRA Grande Finals
Saltire Motorsport drivers Martyn Morris and Colin McNiven secured the top two positions at the NKRA Grande Finals held at West of Scotland Kart Club in September. Colin also won the Masters, Top Weight and Veterans titles. Martyn set the fastest lap in all the dry heats. Both drivers were using the Gillard TG14 kart and Saltire tuned Parilla Lynx engines.
Matthew Gilliand wins Junior Blue O Plate
Matthew Gilliand beat an impressive grid of over 30 drivers to win the 2012 Junior Blue O Plate at Dunkeswell Kart Circuit. Matthew was using a new Gillard TG14.
Charles Wagner secures 2011 Junior Blue National Title
Gillard driver, Charles Wagner, secured the 2011, Junior Blue Championship title and number 1 plate using a Gillard V2S kart and a Parilla Lynx engine tuned by Saltire Motorsport.
Saltire win both 2011 Wigan Bluestar Challenge Titles
Saltire Motorsport’s drivers Blair Campbell and Martyn Morris won both junior and senior Bluestar Challenge Titles at three Three Sisters Race Circuit in Wigan. Both drivers were using Saltire Motorsport prepared karts and engines.
